There have been so many comments on Brittany's diagnosis posts that it is impossible for me to capture them all. You have shown her and her family how much she is loved and your prayers have meant the world to us. Aubrey O'Hara Well Brittany Lauer Tomkins...I came here to get a free mammogram. However, because I have an unfilled order for a diagnostic mammogram from February, combined with my age, and family history...they wouldn’t do it. I’ve been playing phone tag for a couple months and I don’t always think about calling them back for an appointment. 😬 But these ladies at this office were the most unbelievably nicest most helpful women! They sat down with me and got me scheduled for a mammogram and ultrasound THIS week! So thank you Brittany...for making me get out of bed early on a Saturday to get my own health checked on!
Kathy Antlitz I went for my mammogram the other day and as I sat in the waiting room, tears were filling in my eyes thinking of u Britt. Then they called me back in for a couple more pics which scared me, and then said all was ok. Praying for miracle results for you honey, when God is ready to perform the miracle. This morning, I woke up to a text from Andrew about your recent follow-up that brought me to tears. I spoke with Nick a few weeks ago when you were first diagnosed. I was obviously shocked and saddened to hear the horrific news the cancer has struck yet another good friend of mine. I told him then to be strong for you, to support you, to stay positive, to love you more than ever and be the rock that WILL help you both get through this. If there’s two things I’m certain of is that he will do that and you WILL beat this! She glows with innocence. She has a light about her. She’s selfless. She looks out for others.
She is inspiring the living hell out of me right now. We are ALL on borrowed time. Time is all we have. We can’t hold on to our petty differences. I am spiritually holding her hand through this and she is yet again, inspiring. Oh by the way, I haven’t really spoken to Brittany in 15 years and we were never particularly close after grade school. She is that inspiring and has made that much of an impact on me even at a distance. You have no idea who is watching you and who you are inspiring. She is an example for all.
